How to Set Up DLink WBR 2310 Wireless Router?

Are you looking forward to knowing how to set up D-Link WBR-2310 wireless router and how it can be used to create a secure home network for all wireless and wired devices.

Before you go ahead and start using the D-Link WBR-2310 router, you must first configure wireless settings and the internet. 

1) Connect the Hardware

  • Before you connect your router to the modem, you must power off your modem. In case you are not able to turn it off, then you must disconnect the power cable from the back of your modem. 
  • Use one ethernet cable to connect your modem to the router and then connect your router to your computer at the time of setup. Once your setup is complete connect your computer wirelessly if it has a network adapter. Your router and modem always come with an ethernet cable. If your PC was connected to the modem directly. 
  • In case the ethernet port closes to the connector on the back of your router. If it has a color, which is different from 4 LAN ports. Let the power supply of your router remain disconnected for a while. 
  • Now, connect the LAN port to the ethernet port of your computer. 
  • Turn on your modem by pressing the button at the back or connect it back in. Wait for at least 60 seconds for the modem to boot. 
  • After that, turn on your PC and ensure that it is not connected to any network. 
  • Check the indicator lights on your router.

2) Access Your D-Link WBR-2310 Router 

  • You can configure your D-Link WBR-2310 router using your web browser on your PC which is connected to your router. 
  • Enter the IP address in the address bar of your router. When you load this address, you are going to receive router login information. This is the default address for your D-Link router. 
  • Enter admin in the username section and don't type anything in the password section. In case these details don't work, then that means your login details have been changed. 

3) Complete First-Time Setup 

Step 1: First of all, you need to click on the setup wizard button which appears when you log in for the very first time. This will help you configure your network and keep it secure. If you don't see this button, then go to the setup tab. 

Step 2: Select the button to launch the internet connection setup wizard. This will initiate the setup procedure for your administrator account and router's network connection. Select Next to Continue when asked. 

Step 3: After that, you need to create an administrator password. Either memorize it or note it down somewhere. After that, you need to reset your router if you forget the password. 

Step 4: Select the right time zone by going to the drop-down menu. 

Step 5: After that, select the connection type. Usually, the first choice is a DHCP connection. In case you are not sure, then get in touch with your internet service provider. Get in touch with your internet service provider if you are not sure. 

Step 6: Select the option of cloning your IP address if it is blank. generally, this section is filed. You should only select this option if the MAC address field is blank. 

Step 7: Now, save the settings by clicking on the Connect button. After that, your router will restart. 

4) Create a Wireless Network 

Step 1: Enter the IP address 192.168.0.1 in the location bar of your browser. Type the password that you created in the section earlier. Now, enter the username "Admin". 

Step 2: Go to the setup tab and then open the setup wizards. 

Step 3: Go to the wireless settings menu in the left frame. Now, a new page will open up that will allow you to set up your Wi-Fi network. 

Step 4: Go to the "Enable wireless box" and then check it. This will enable your wireless network once you save the settings. 

Step 5: Enter the name of your network and then choose WPA2 security mode. 

Step 6: After that, you need to create a strong password that is very difficult to crack. 

Step 7: Click on the save button in order to save the settings.
