Step 2: After that, you must ensure that the cable you are using to connect your modem and router is properly connected. 

Step 3: Then, you need to connect your modem to a personal computer using an ethernet cable directly. This will help you know whether your modem is providing you with the internet or not. 

How to Fix the D-Link Extender not Working Issue?

Below are some other solutions that you can try to fix your D-Link extender not working issue. 

Step 1: In the first step, you are required to launch your web browser on your laptop or personal computer. 

Step 2: After that, search for the address bar of your browser. There, you need to enter the default gateway IP address 192.168..1 in the location bar of your browser and then press enter. 

Step 3: Then, you will be taken to the login page. After that, enter your username and password. Enter admin in the username section and leave the password section blank. Then, click on login. 

Step 4: When you are done logging in, you must search fr the setup wizard button and then tap on the option of  "launch internet connection setup wizard button". 

Step 5: Then, you are required to set up a new username and password. Please make sure that the new password is simple and accessible. 

Step 6: Now, you can set the location, region, and time as per your country and requirements. 

Step 7: Then, you are required to select a web connection type. Please make sure that you keep it static. After that, select the copied personal computer Mac address. 

Step 8: Once you are done performing all the steps. Save your settings and store them by clicking on the save and connect option. 

Step 9: Update the firmware of your router as it will help you in fixing the bugs. Once you are done performing the firmware update, restart your extender and check if your internet is working or not. 

Step 10: Also, you must ensure that all the cables are connected to the right ports.
