Choose the Method

Boost Your Wi-Fi Signals with DAP-1530 that can be configured using one of three methods: WI-FI Protected Setup (WPS) (preferred), the QRS Mobile App, or a web browser.

How to Install The DAP-1530 With WI-FI Protected Setup(WPS)

Note: To connect to a wireless router or AP and expand your home's Wi-Fi network, ensure the source router or AP has a WPS Button.

Connect the DAP-1530 to a wall outlet and wait for the Status/WPS LED to glow amber. Activate the WPS button on the source wireless router or access point, then the DAP-1530. The green Status/WPS LED will start to flash.

Please let the procedure take up to two minutes to complete. When the DAP-1530 connects to the source Wi-Fi network or AP, the Status/WPS LED will become solid green.

If the Signal Indicator LED displays only one amber bar during the connection procedure, the DAP-1530 must make a better-quality connection. To increase connection quality, move the DAP-1530 to a wall outlet closer to the source wireless network or AP. The greater the number of illuminated bars on the Signal Indicator LED, the stronger the wireless signal.

The DAP-1530 can share the expanded Wi-Fi network with your PCs and mobile devices. Connect to the DAP-1530's extension network utilising the network name (SSID):

(SSID of your router)

DAP-1530 SETUP WITH QRS MOBILE APP

Your smartphone may be used to set up the DAP-1530. Download the app by searching for "D-Link QRS Mobile" in the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Connect your smartphone to the DAP-1530 using the SSID and Password information on the Wi-Fi Configuration Card, followed by adhering to the helpful in-app prompts or referring to the product manual for further details.

CONFIGURE DAP-1530 WITH a WEB BROWSER

A web browser can also be used to set up the DAP-1530. Open the wireless utility on your computer after plugging the DAP-1530 into a wall outlet within the wireless range of your router or connecting to your present programmed network.

Choose the name (SSID) of the DAP-1530 network and enter the password (both of which can be found on your Wi-Fi Configuration Card).

Open a web browser (such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, or Chrome) and navigate to http://dlinkap.local/. The username is set to Admin by default, and the password box must be kept empty. Please see the product handbook for additional details on setting the DAP-1530 with a web browser.
